    About Us
Welcome to X-Ray Records home on the Web. After a few months of holidays to regroup, I'm now back at it. There's a different look this time, what with the new downstairs location, but it's going to be business as usual. My aim as always is to bring to you a vast array of interesting music on LP & CD while maintaining the integrity of what a good indie music store should be. Thanks to you people who still enjoy shopping in a real store, I'm hoping this latest venture will be around for awhile. Thanks to WOT/Tiki Room for once again providing me with a home. Thanks to J.P. Pasnak (warped systems) & Ernst for the website. You can email me at dave@xrayrecords.ca

I will have limited copies of the new Arcade Fire vinyl for "The Suburbs" on sale saturday July 31st. To make things fair, it will be available on a first come basis (don't ask me to hold copies). The CD will be on sale tuesday August 2nd, and I will have more vinyl coming that week as well. Whenever possible, with the sanction of the labels, X-Ray will be offering important new releases on vinyl a few days earlier than the CD release date.

The X-Ray Top 50 for 2009  View Printable Version

Sorry for the delay, but I'm supposed to be on vacation & relaxing. haha. Same as always these should be viewed as in no particular order. Minutes, days, weeks after I post this I realize I've missed something great, but here it goes anyway. I hope you find it to be of interest. This list does not represent what was popular in terms of sales at X-Ray (even though many were), simply what I listened to a lot in 2009. Comments welcome & I'd be happy to see your list if you made one.

My Favourite 50 of 2007  View Printable Version
    Friday, January 04 2008 @ 10:35 CST
    Contributed by: Dave

Here's a list of my top 50 albums that were released this year (in no particular order). It's based solely on what I was listening to & enjoying, and nothing to do with sales here at the store. Of course there were plenty of detours through other decades along the way, but you get my drift. As always, I'll remember something that should've been included weeks from now, but for the time being, this is how it stands.
