New Arcade Fire LP July 31st!
    Sunday, July 25 2010 @ 11:53 CST
    Contributed by: Dave

I will have limited copies of the new Arcade Fire vinyl for "The Suburbs" on sale saturday July 31st. To make things fair, it will be available on a first come basis (don't ask me to hold copies). The CD will be on sale tuesday August 2nd, and I will have more vinyl coming that week as well. Whenever possible, with the sanction of the labels, X-Ray will be offering important new releases on vinyl a few days earlier than the CD release date.

    -------------------------------------------------

here's the complete list of this weeks stock.

    -----------------------------------------------------

M For Mississippi - "A Roadtrip Through The Birthplace Of The Blues" DVD ( M FOR MISSISSIPPI)
Blues Music Award and Living Blues Award winner. "Easily one of the best documentary films made about the blues in years" -- Blues & Rhythm magazine. "M for Mississippi has to rank high among the most important blues events of [the year]" -- Living Blues. A weeklong road-trip through the birthplace of the blues, 'M for Mississippi' follows a handful of music fanatics on the road as they capture the proverbial "real deal" in its home where it is most comfortable and authentic - the juke joints, house parties, front yards and cotton fields of the Mississippi Delta. More than just a collection of concert performances, 'M for Mississippi' collects the sounds, the images and the feel of both the performers and their native landscape. Features a dozen artists like T-Model Ford, Duck Holmes and more. NTSC all region, widescreen. 94 minutes plus bonus features.

    Unida/Dozer- "Split" CD (Meteor City)
Two great stoner/fuzz rock bands on one CD. Unida features Kyuss vocalist John Garcia.

    Clash- "London Calling" LPx2 (CBS)
    Back in stock.

Iron Maiden- "A Matter Of Life & Death" LPx2 (Capitol)
Back in stock. Double picture disc.

    Patti Smith- "Easter"" LP (Arista)
    Restock on 180 gram vinyl.

De La Soul- "Impossible Mission: TV Series vol.1" LP (Red Lion)
"No longer backed by record companies but back by popular demand" raps Posdnuos in "Freedom Train," the penultimate song on De La Soul's label-less mixtape Impossible Mission: TV Series, Pt. 1, a collection of older previously unreleased tracks, as well as new material, all of which helps to firmly establish the group as one of hip-hop's legends. Not that Impossible Mission compares to 3 Feet High and Rising or De La Soul Is Dead or even AOI: Bionix, because it doesn't -- those were all focused and pointed albums, while this one, being a mixtape, is a little more across the board -- but it contains a lot of strong work, both in the new songs as well as in the older tracks (especially the excellent "Mindstate," found on "What the F*@k #2," and apparently recorded during the Buhloone Mindstate sessions and played for Tommy Boy execs just to scare them, though there was never any intention of including it on the album). For the most part, the rhymes are all pretty good, with lines like "Me without your balance just wouldn't sit right/Like written wouldn't be past tense without ten" (from "Wasn't for You") reminding fans why De La has had so much success throughout their 15-plus years in the game. They're veterans, that's clear, but they're still very impressive. The production on Impossible Mission is pretty great too, with beats from longtime collaborator Supa Dave West as well as Geology, J Dilla (recycled from Slum Village, however), and Oh No, though the majority of the songs have no producer listed, which is fairly annoying, but does attest to the record's quasi-illegitimatacy. In releasing a mixtape, De La Soul is declaring that they're making music because they love making music, and not because of the money they're going to get from each album. Yeah, they're still trying to sell themselves, proffering their wares, hawking their goods to all interested buyers, seeing if any record label is interested and/or if they even need one, but it's all secondary to the music, the rhymes over the beats, the basics, which is all that we want to hear, anyway.

    Pentagram- "Sub Basement" LP (Emetic)
With the exhuming of Pentagram's '70s musical corpse now on its way to becoming an international pass-time, it's only fitting that the seminal underground band attempt to capitalize on the unexpected surge of interest by releasing the occasional new studio album, as well. Of course the term 'band' is used loosely here, for, like its predecessor, 1999's Review Your Choices, Sub-Basement finds Pentagram paired down to a duo comprising vocalist and founding father Bobby Liebling and longtime cohort Joe Hasselvander, on all other instruments. It also, once again, resorts to combining newly composed material like "Tidal Wave," the pummeling "Drive Me to the Grave," and the title track, with reworked versions of old Pentagram classics, including "Buzzsaw," "Out of Luck" and "Target." Problem is, neither these premiere offerings nor the newly recut historical retreads manage to compete with the group's doom metal glories of old; ultimately sounding even less satisfying than other recent, like-styled outings. And perhaps most troubling of all is the weakened state of Liebling's voice, which, if his gaunt and tired visage on theLP jacket (he's looking more like an old, decadent vampire than ever) is any indication, may be finally suffering the wear and tear of decades of reported drug abuse.

    Ramones- "Ramones Mania" LPx2 (Warner)
Limited colored vinyl version. All the hits baby!

Chop Tops- "Deadly Love" LP (Swillbilly)
The Chop Tops are the one and only "Revved-Up Rockabilly" trio from Santa Cruz, California consisting of Sinner (vocals/standing drums), Shelby (guitar) and Brett (upright bass). The band coined the phrase "Revved-Up Rockabilly" to describe their wild, upbeat blend of rockabilly, psychobilly, old punk, teddy boy, and surf music genres. The Chop Tops headline their own national tours and have toured frequently with the Nekromantix.

Sun Dial- "Return Journey" CDx2 (Shrunken Head)
Following their 1990 debut, 'Other Way Out', SUN DIAL set about recording a follow-up at legendary producer Vic Keary’s studios in Chalk Farm, London. The band had now signed with the UFO label, but the sessions for 'Return Journey' were abandoned. A 12" EP, 'Overspill', was all that was salvaged for release on UFO. Thereafter, Sun Dial reconvened to record what would become their second album, 'Reflecter', leaving 'Return Journey' in the vaults until a belated release of sorts on Acme in 1994. This deluxe edition of 'Return Journey' is the definitive version, remastered from the original, recently re-discovered tapes. Disc 1 offers the album as it was originally conceived with the bonus of the four 'Overspill' tracks and two out-takes. Disc 2 boasts alternative versions and mixes from those sessions. Definitely for fans of far out psychedelic rock with the emphasis on solid wah wah guitar jamming. Great songs too!

Richmond Fontaine- "Miles From" CD (Cavity Search)
Spending a year on the road made a very big difference for Richmond Fontaine, judging from their second album, Miles From. While Richmond Fontaine sounded like a scrappy and slightly sloppy bunch of Uncle Tupelo wannabes on much of their debut, Safety, their second set is stronger, tighter, and reveals a far stronger musical identity of their own; bassist Dave Harding and drummer Stuart Gaston had cohered into a strong and sympathetic rhythm section, and Willy Vlautin's guitar work is significantly more dynamic and muscular than he'd sounded first time at bat. Vlautin's melodies also began to develop a more distinctive flavor, at once leaner and more precisely detailed, and the addition of Paul Brainard's pedal steel guitar honors the country undertow of these songs without getting stuck in aural clichés (especially on the instrumental "Grandview"). But one thing that remained consistent through Safety and Miles From is the quality of Willy Vlautin's songwriting; suggesting the clean narrative lines and morally troubling perspective of Raymond Carver, Vlautin's tales of damaged lives and lost souls are vivid, honest, and evoke both horror and compassion in equal measures, and if his sometimes wobbly voice still resembles Jay Farrar, his lyrics make it clear his songs are his and his alone. Powerful stuff from a band who richly deserves a wider hearing than they've received.

Pat Metheny- "Day Trip: Tokyo" LPx3 (Nonesuch)
Triple vinyl version of this 2008 live album.

    Broken Bells- "S/T" LP (CBS)
Back in stock. Dangermouse collaborates with James Mercer (The Shins).

Derek Trucks Band- "Already Free" LPx2 (CBS)
For 12 years, the Derek Trucks Band have been issuing records (live and studio) that are long on fire, improvisation, and inspiration. Trucks' own skillful leadership has seamlessly melded rock, blues, jazz, and Eastern Indian modal music in a brew that is uniquely his own. Perhaps this is what makes Already Free both an anomaly and a natural extension of the DTB; if anything, it resembles Delaney & Bonnie's records of the late '60s and early '70s -- Home, To Bonnie from Delaney -- or the self-titled debuts of Bobby Whitlock and Eric Clapton. There is a homegrown organic looseness to these proceedings that sets the album apart from all of Trucks' previous offerings. Perhaps that's because it was recorded at home -- literally in a home studio with the DTB and/or their guests playing live from the floor much of the time. Trucks is still accompanied by his longtime mates: Kofi Burbridge, Todd Smallie, Yonrico Scott, Count Mbutu, and vocalist Mike Mattison. But there are some close friends and family as guests, including -- but not limited to -- Trucks' wife Susan Tedeschi, Doyle Bramhall II, and a horn section and various rhythm players.

Heliocentrics- "Before I Die" 12" (Now Again)
Single from the Now-Again re-sounds 7" box set featuring Heliocentrics and Guilty Simpson.

Heliocentrics- "Distant Star" 12" (Now Again)
On the heels of the succesful "Out There" LP, Now Again has put out a brand new Malcolm Catto 12" with two of their star MC's rhyming over "Distant Star" (off of the Helio full length). Also featured is the dope, non album cut "Space Time Girl". Side A: Distant Star (feat. Percee P & MF DOOM Distant Star (Strange Version) (feat. Percee P & MF DOOM Side B: Distant Star (Instrumental) Distant Star (Strange Instrumental) Space Time Girl (Instrumental)

Heliocentrics- "Ot There" LPx2 (Now Again)
Brand new funk from the Now-Again label (division of Stones Throw Records). This is some next level music and will appeal to those who are lovers of some raw funk, and those who are into Madlib or DJ Shadow.

Whitefield Brothers- "In The Raw" LPx2 (Now Again)
Stones Throw offshoot Now Again Records presents another mind-blowing full-length instrumental release. Originally recorded in 1998, this album was one of the earliest recordings by the cream of NYC's funk crop--members of The Dap Kings, El Michels Affair, and Poets Of Rhythm. Filthy rhythm sections and psychedelic horn stabs would drive this afro-funk gem into instant classic status, except for the fact that it was recorded over a decade ago.

J Dilla- "Ruff Draft" LPx2 (Stones Throw)
Frequently and rightly placed in the same context as DJ Premier, Pete Rock, and Kanye West, Jay Dee built and sustained a high standing as a producer's producer while maintaining a low profile.
Two discs are included here. One with Dilla rappin' and the other strictly instrumentals. The second disc with the instrumentals helps you appreciate Jay Dee's true talent. One of the true beat masters of our generation. The first disc with the lyrics shows why Dilla is a better beat-maker than rapper, yet it does offer a "rawness" that has to be appreciated- "We keep it ghetto with the plastic cups". The only strike against the album (hence the four-star not five rating)is its length. A little short, but then precious gems come in all shapes, sizes and lengths. (Online review)

Sonny Boy Williamson- "King Bisquit Time" CD (Arhoolie)
Wicked old school electric blues from SBW. King Biscuit Time features Sonny Boy's early Trumpet sides from 1951. The original "Eyesight to the Blind," "Nine Below Zero" and "Mighty Long Time" are Sonny Boy at his very best. Added bonuses include Williamson backing Elmore James on his original recording of "Dust My Broom" and a live KFFA broadcast from 1965.

Black Sabbath- "Born Again" CD (Castle)
Ian Gillan (Deep Purple) joins Black Sabbath for this 1983 album.

Bohren & Der Club Of Gore- "Black Earth" CD (Ipecac)
Former black metallers re-tool and come back as a noir jazz ensemble. Beautifully subdued, masterfully executed. Instrumentals for your chill out moods, incorporating piano, mellotron, stand up bass, saxophone & brushed drums. Amazing!

The Jim Jones Revue- "S/T" CD (Punk Rock Blues)
The Jim Jones Revue's debut album is described as sounding like a car crash between Little Richard and The MC5. The ‘Revue play supercharged rock’n’roll inspired by The Killer, The Georgia Peach and of course The Memphis Flash and the deranged sons of Detroit. The Jim Jones Revue strip rock’n’roll back to its essential elements and this album is a document of their base alchemy. Recorded live (no overdubs!) on four track in one straight 48 hour session the record is a celebration of no holds barred full on rocking. Former lead singer of Sub Pop garage legends Thee Hypnotics, Jim Jones looks after vocals and guitar, Rupert Orton plays lead guitar, Elliot Mortimer plays keys, Gavin Jay plays bass and Nick Jones plays drums.

Otis Redding- "Pain In My Heart" LP (Atlantic)
This album works on so many different levels, that it's essential listening for at least three categories of buyer — fans of Otis Redding and Stax Records (natch), and more general soul listeners, and also anyone serious about their devotion to the work of the Rolling Stones and any other British invasion bands that covered American soul. Pain In My Heart was practically a road map to Mick Jagger and any number of other would-be white soul shouters in the UK, not just on the title track but also numbers like the hard rocking "Hey Hey Baby". For someone only 22 years old at the time of these sessions, and just two years past his first 45 rpm record, Redding exudes astonishing power, energy and boldness, though it's all packaged with greater restraint than his subsequent records did. This was the only LP that Redding recorded during the lifetime of his idol, Sam Cooke, and his version of "You Send Me" is the least stylized of any of his renditions of Cooke's songs — later on, after Cooke's death, he would throw more of himself into it. The very fact that he was covering Cooke's soul classic shows an essential difference between Redding's and Cooke's early LPs; as Redding was on a soul label, no one tried to make him into a pop singer as that'd done at RCA with Cooke — thus, he was running on all cylinders right out of the starting gate, though he wouldn't get really interesting or show his full depth until two albums later. But even covering Rufus Thomas's "The Dog", Richard Berry's "Louie Louie", Little Richard's "Lucille", or Ben E. King's "Stand By Me", he's already doing 70% of what we came to expect from Otis Redding in the years ahead — his writing, apart from "Security", "These Arms Of Mine" and "That's What My Heart Needs", was still somewhat less than memorable, but this is still a first-rate debut and a must-own LP.

Easy Star All-Stars- "Dub Side Of The Moon" LP (Easy Star)
Talk about high concept: this project features the house band of noted New York reggae label Easy Star covering Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon in the same sequence and in recognizable but reggae fashion. Here, the All Stars turn Floyd’s strangely surreal world even stranger and more surreal, adorning the English band’s dark psychedelic music with slow reggae beats and head-spinning dub-style production that is both inspired and effective. "Money" opens with the sound of bong hits and coughing instead of the cash register, then grooves to a reggae beat as guitar and organ churn out the classic riff--there’s even the signatory sax break in the middle. The group hits it just right on "Great Gig In The Sky," retaining the soaring gospel voice, while the remake of the chiming bells on "Time" reveals a bit of irreverent humor. Tearing away at the alienation of the original, this infusion of new personality makes it all work, elevating the album’s concept from the half-baked to visionary.

Woven Bones- "In And Out And Back Again" (Horizontal Action)
WOVEN BONES need no announcement to herald their arrival, but as their iridescent hazy pop grime drills itself deeper into your soft skull, it's best to just stand back and experience them exploding out of your speakers. Like the eardrum-shattering noise pop icons that came before them, they blaze their own trail of lascivious loudness and controlled snarl that's just what the world needs right now, and the perfect soundtrack to your screwed-up summer!

Bee Gees- "Bee Gees 1st" CDx2 (Rhino)
Expanded version of their first album in both stereo & mono with bonus material.

    Kylie Minogue- "Aphrodite" LP (EMI)
Kylie's latest, in stock for the 1st time on vinyl.

Best Coast- "Crazy For You" LP (Mexican Summer)
Mexican Summer are elated to announce the release of the long awaited debut album from BEST COAST, following several (mostly sold-out) singles and EP's. Hazy, dreamy and genre-defining, this collection of songs proves that the incredible amount of blog and press hype for Best Coast is more than warranted. 'Crazy For You' is a 12 track, 29 minute collection of genuinely romantic sandy jams, which makes a strong case for the ultimate summer record and record of the year. "The reigning princess of modern-day wistful melodies" - Fader.

Porcupine Tree- "The Incident" CDx2 (Kscope)
    Back in stock.

Porcupine Tree- "Fear Of A Blank Planet" CD (Kscope)
    Back in stock.

Archie Bell & The Drells- "Tighten Up" LP (Atlantic)
Archie Bell was still on a tour of duty in Vietnam when "Tighten Up," the B-side of a single he had recorded called "Dog Eat Dog," broke out and hit the top of the charts in 1968. Infectious and utterly danceable, "Tighten Up" became Bell's claim to fame, even though he and the Drells had other hits, including "I Can't Stop Dancing" and "(There's Gonna Be A) Showdown" after they began working with Philly soul producers and writers Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff. All of these are included in this succinct introduction to Archie Bell & the Drells (as well as the fine "A World Without Music"), and for listeners looking for a set with just the hits, this one fills the bill with no frills and no fuss.

John Mayer- "Battle Studies" LPx2 (Columbia)
It's no secret that John Mayer is a 21st Century Fox, wining and dining women all through the tabloid headlines, so it's about time he delivered an album that traded upon his loverman persona -- and Battle Studies is that record in spades. Retaining more than a modicum of the slick soul-blues undertones of Continuum, Mayer fashions a modern groove album, a record that maintains a smooth seductive vibe so thoroughly it spills into a weird one-man band cover of "Crossroads," turning Clapton's contained Cream masterwork into something about vibe, not virtuosity. Mayer remains a disciple of Slowhand, but he shows an unusual interest in the big AOR stylings of Journeyman, along with Stevie Ray Vaughan's In Step, creating a coolly clean blend of synths and Strats, one that's as much about texture as it is song -- something perfectly appropriate for a make-out album like this. Sometimes, Mayer dips too heavily toward the texture -- not just in the sound sculptures in the bedding of "Heartbreak Warfare," but even the strum-n-croon of "All We Ever Do Is Say Goodbye" -- and his love-as-war metaphors land with the thud of a dud bomb, but he can't resist a good, tight melody and builds the bulk of Battle Studies upon them: the elegant "Half of My Heart," the stoned self-deprecating wit of "Who Says," the softly soulful "Perfectly Lonely." Here, Mayer is effortlessly seductive and somewhat irresistible, and it's easy to see why the ladies love cool John.

Neil Young- "Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere" LP (Rhino)
Reissued on 180 gram HQ vinyl.

Forgotten Rebels- "In Love With The System" CD (Star Records)
Early Canadian punk rock. Back in stock.

Forgotten Rebels- "The Pride & Disgrace" CD (Other People's Music)
Reissue of 'The Pride And Disgrace', the third album from Hamilton's FORGOTTEN REBELS, originally released in 1986. Produced by Iggy Pop guitarist Rob Duprey and mixed by Chris Spedding. Also includes 2 bonus tracks not on the original LP.

Big Sandy & Fly-Rite Boys- "Feelin' Kinda Lucky" CD (Hightone)
Big Sandy & His Fly-Rite Boys come from the Land of Retro, and it's a happening place. Their bag is small-combo Western swing, and the refreshing thing is their lack of irony, even with the matching yoke shirts, white scarves, and greasy kid stuff. The band's spartan instrumentation leaves nothing for a weak vocalist to hide behind; luckily, Big Sandy has a rich, cultivated tenor that harks back to the glory days of Tommy Duncan while also invoking some of Hank Williams' haunted edginess. He also has an amazing idiomatic facility -- without looking at the liner notes, it's difficult to distinguish the oldies from the originals on any of the band's three albums. Their third release departs not at all from the band's winning signature style: steel player Lee Jeffriess carries on a constant good-natured duel with lead guitarist Ashley Kingman (whose bag of jazzy licks is seemingly bottomless), while Sandy croons above and the bull fiddle and drums hold things down gently below. The only letdown is a touch of fatigue that slips through Big Sandy's voice from time to time -- it's as if he tires out as the album progresses. By the end of "Backdoor Dan," the album's closer, he sounds a little bit like Bootsy Collins. Which, actually, is kind of cool in a twisted sort of way. If you had to pick just one Big Sandy record, go with the debut -- but there's no reason not to own 'em all.

Hawkwind- "Hall Of The Mountain Grill" CD (EMI UK)
The band's best studio album, coming off of the success of Space Ritual. The group's rock roots are juxtaposed effectively with the swelling synthesizer flourishes and pretentious song ideas, creating the quintessential guitar-oriented space rock record. The highlight was the live recording of "You'd Better Believe It," with its crunchy guitars, but nobody minded keyboardman Simon House's languid synthesizer-laden "Hall of the Mountain Grill" (especially as it was followed by the Lemmy-sung "Lost Johnny," a great all-out rocker). The sound, especially the mix of ballsy high-volume guitar playing and soaring electronic keyboards ("The Psychedelic Warlords," "D-Rider"), would later get co-opted by outfits such as Blue Öyster Cult ("(Don't Fear) The Reaper") and Kansas. Overall, this is the sound and imagery that the punkier kids and druggies who went to shows like Laserium were looking for, and if the producers of Laserium had devised something hooked around this record, it could have run 20 years or better.

Neil Young- "Heart Of Gold" 7" (Reprise)
    B-side is Sugar Mountain.

Supertramp- "Crime Of The Century" LP (A&M)
Now back in stock. This is the regular version. An audiophile version is also available.

    Black Sabbath- "S/T" LP (Nems)
180 gram version od their 1st album.

Neko Case- "Middle Cyclone" LPx2 (Anti)
Clear vinyl version left from Record Store Day.

    Radiohead- "In Rainbows" LP (Capitol)
    Restock.

Madlib- "Shades Of Blue" LPx2 (Blue Note)
Madlib received a rare opportunity with unfettered access to the storied Blue Note archives and permission to use them as he wished for a remix/interpretation album released on Blue Note itself. The result, Shades of Blue, is really more of a Yesterdays New Quintet album, but Madlib's name is far more recognizable then his alter ego and faux-supergroup, YNQ. So, Shades of Blue features Madlib interpreting and remixing Blue Note classics such as Wayne Shorter's "Footprints" and Gene Harris' "The Look of Slim" (remixed here as "Slim's Return"). Overall, a good time is had by all, as he doesn't just sample the tracks as much as fit them into his own sound. That's why the record would be better compared to the Yesterdays New Quintet debut, Angles Without Edges, where Madlib takes on the personas of numerous instrumentalists (going so far as to credit them individually in the liner notes) and make laid-back break-heavy jams that serve great as background party stuff -- and that's really where Shades of Blue works the best. Intent listening doesn't really give much up, but for smooth subconscious grooves, it's perfect.

Black Keys- "Chulahoma" LP (Fat Possum)
Tribute album to the music of bluesman Junior Kimbrough. Back in stock for the first time in ages.

White Stripes- "Under Great White Northern Lights" LPx2 (Warner)
Double live album from their 2008 Canadian tour.

Coldplay- "Viva La Vida...." LPx2 (EMI)
    Restock on double LP.

R.E.M.- "Fables Of The Reconstruction" LP (Warner)
25th anniversary edition of one of their best albums.

Rainbow- "Rainbow Rising" LPx2 (Rock Classics)
180 gram red vinyl reissue of RAINBOW's classic second album, 'Rainbow Rising', released in 1978. Packaged in a gatefold sleeve and limited to 1000 copies.

    Tom Petty- "Mojo" LPx2 (Reprise)
The brand new double album on 180 gram vinyl with free digital download.

    Frazey Ford- "Obadiah" CD (Nettwek)
Debut solo CD from Be Good Tanyas member. Vinyl coming soon.

Deep Dark Woods- "Winter" CD (Black Hen)
The Deep Dark Woods’ sophomore release on Black Hen Music, is an album full of raw emotion, sadness, beautiful vocals and harmonies, new sounds, and well thought out arrangements. Working with Juno award winning producer/musician Steve Dawson at Vancouver’s famed recording studio The Factory, they managed to bring out an energy that the new songs deserved, recording the album live off the floor. Winter Hours is a step forward from their widely touted first release Hang Me, Oh Hang Me, which was nominated for Best Roots Album at the Western Canadian Music Awards this year.

    Lonesome Drifter- "Eager Boy" LP
17 song roundup on Thomas Johnson, the mysterious LONESOME DRIFTER, culled from the vaults of Shreveport’s Ram Records. His 1958 single "Eager Boy" stands as one of the most sought after records of all time. The Drifter’s haunting vocals and stark instrumentation make him a truly unique figure in rockabilly and hillbilly music. This is real bone chilling stuff! For fans of Hasil Adkins and Charlie Feathers.

The Slackers- "The Great Rock-Steady Swindle" CD+LP (Hellcat)
The Slackers return, bigger than ever before, to usher their next chapter with some of the best music of their storied career: The Great Rocksteady Swindle. Featuring classic cuts like “Cheated,” “How It Feels” and “Thank You,” the album retains the band’s unforgettable mix of ska, rocksteady, reggae, soul, jazz, dub and garage rock while also adding fresh and vibrant elements to the music on tracks like the roots-rocker “Sabina” and the gritty “Bo Evil.” For the past two decades the band has been spreading their signature “Jamaican rock n roll” sound around the world, winning fans over with their fervent live shows and coveted studio albums. Take notice: The Slackers are back!

Minor Threat- "Complete Discography" CD (Dischord)
    Restock.

Hot Snakes- "Suicide Invoice" CD (Swami)
Restock. Hot Snakes vinyl coming soon.
