Laika- Wherever I Am I Am What Is Missing LP
RECORD STORE DAY release. 180 gram vinyl reissue from 2003. Like their namesake -- the dog rocketed into orbit by the Soviets renowned as the first living creature to exit the earth's atmosphere -- Laika traveled the spaceways, forging a distinct and wildly experimental fusion of hip-hop, jazz, electronica, dub, and Krautrock without earthly precedent. Somewhat of a Too Pure label all-star team comprised of former Moonshake vocalist/programmer Margaret Fiedler and bassist John Frenett, onetime PJ Harvey drummer Rob Ellis, and noted producer Guy Fixsen as well as ex-God percussionist Lou Ciccotelli and saxophonist/flutist Louise Elliott, Laika formed in London during the autumn of 1993; their debut EP, Antenna, appeared the following summer.

Operation Ivy- Energy LP
RECORD STORE DAY release. Operation Ivy’s two original releases, the 6-song Hectic EP and the full-length Energy, are back after years of being unavailable on vinyl. Formed in 1987, Operation Ivy is a legendary 4-piece fronted by future Rancid cohorts Tim Armstrong and Matt Freeman, along with friends Jesse Michaels (Common Rider) and Dave Mello. Hectic was released in 1988, Energy in January of 1989; the band broke up after the record release party and Energy went on to go gold. Now considered a classic, and regularly name-checked in lists of the all-time great punk and alternative albums from Alternative Press to SPIN, Energy is one of the few records that sells as much year in year out as it did in its original release, as new generations of fans discover this influential album.

Operation Ivy- Hectic 12"

Half of these posters have been signed by the band, and signed copies will be indicated by a sticker on the outside of the package.

Public Image Ltd.- One Drop 12"
RECORD STORE DAY release. PUBLIC IMAGE LTD confirm their first new material in 20 years will begin with the EP 'One Drop' released for Record Store Day on April 21st! The new material will be released on the band's own label 'PiL Official'. The 4 track EP is taken from the forthcoming album 'This Is PiL'. The new material was recorded in the UK last year at Steve Winwood's studio in the Cotswolds. John Lydon describes the track "One Drop" as "a reflection of where I grew up in Finsbury Park, London. The area that shaped me, and influenced me culturally and musically, a place I will forever feel connected to. But within this I am also saying it doesn’t matter where you come from, we all go through the same emotions especially the disenchanted youth of today, yesterday and the future".

Farrar, James, Johnson, Parker- Let's Multiply 10"
RECORD STORE DAY release. An intimate interpretation of American icon and musical legend Woody Guthrie's unrecorded lyrics from a dream team of Americana torchbearers: Jay Farrar (Son Volt), Will Johnson (Centro-matic), Anders Parker (Varnaline), and Yim Yames (a.k.a. Jim James of My Morning Jacket). The collaborators seamlessly converge the sepia-toned essence of the time-honored past with the risks needed to forge the future. This exclusive Record Store Day 10" includes two previously unreleased demo tracks and an additional two tracks not available for purchase anywhere else.

Jimi Hendrix- Can You Please Crawl Out Of Your Window 7"
In an historic alliance, Sundazed Music has partnered with Experience Hendrix, L.L.C. to release an eye-popping series of new 7" picture-sleeve vinyl singles featuring unique and hard-to-find vintage performances by JIMI HENDRIX. The series launches in April with an initial release that combines a pair of historically significant Hendrix recordings from two different 1967 sessions. One is a raucous reading of Bob Dylan's "Can You Please Crawl Out Your Window?" from BBC Radio's Rhythm and Blues show, the other a fascinating, newly discovered take of the Hendrix original "Burning Of The Midnight Lamp", as performed on BBC-TV's Top of the Pops. Both sides feature the classic original Jimi Hendrix Experience lineup of Hendrix on guitar and vocals, Noel Redding on bass and Mitch Mitchell on drums, and capture the band just as it was beginning to emerge as a major creative force on both sides of the Atlantic.

White Stripes- Hand Springs 7"
RECORD STORE DAY release. Continuing in the mission of reissuing the nuggets of the WHITE STRIPES' back catalog, Third Man plays Dr. Frankenstein/matchmaker to two stand-alone songs from the high time of the year 2000. "Hand Springs" was originally released as a split-single with the Dirtbombs and included free in issue #19 of Multiball magazine. "Red Death At 6:14" was initially released on the Jack White-produced compilation 'Sympathetic Sounds Of Detroit' and was later made available as a one-sided single from the folks at MOJO magazine. Both songs are quintessential White Stripes jams and finally pairing them together here makes (arguably) one of the best Stripes singles ever! Limited red/black swirl vinyl for Record Store Day!

Raveonettes- Into The Night 7"x2
Four new songs from The Danish duo, who are back with a precursor to their next full length album that will mark the 10 year anniversary of their illustrious career. When you've had a cult fan base for as long as The RAVEONETTES have, it's only a matter of time before some of your most-loyal of acolytes begin branching out and make their own kinds of beautiful noise. In recent times, the musical DNA of Sune Rose Wagner and Sharin Foo has been cropping up with such regularity that it prompted the British music press staple NME.com to declare the Danish duo to be responsible for sparking "America's pop renaissance". It was a long overdue tip of the hat which drew comparisons between The Raveonettes' melodic magic and such modern tunesmiths as The Drums, Best Coast, Vivian Girls, Dum Dum Girls and even British bands like The Vaccines and Glasvegas.

Dave Brubeck- Trio: Distinctive Rhythm Instrumentals (red 10")
RECORD STORE DAY release. Originally released on Fantasy in 1952, this special exclusive Record Store reissue pressing faithfully reproduces the original 10” vinyl package right down to the red colored vinyl! Features legendary sidemen Bill Smith, Paul Desmond, David Van Kriedt, Dick Collins, Bob Collins, Ron Crotty, and Cal Tjader!

Attack In Black- Marriage LP+10"

Includes ace takes on such classics as ''Sweet Little Sixteen'', ''Great Balls Of Fire'', "She Even Woke Me Up To Say Goodbye", and ''Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On".

Dandy Warhols- This Machine LP
'This Machine' is the DANDY WARHOLS's eighth official studio album and was recorded their rock clubhouse/entertainment megaplex/studio The Odditorium. The band recorded the album with their longtime engineer-producer Jeremy Sherrer. CourtneyTaylor-Taylor describes this record as "stripped down, woody and extremely guitar centric". The album was mixed Tchad Blake who also mixed The Dandy Warhols' albums 'Odditorium Or Warlords Of Mars' and 'Come Down'. Tchad is well known for his recent work with The Black Keys, Blitzen Trapper and Pearl Jam.

Montrose- Paper Money CD

David Crosby- If Only I Could Remember My Name CD
In between CSNY's Deja Vu and 4 Way Street , Crosby put out this 1971 masterpiece, a singer-songwriter journey that straddles dream and nightmare. His hit Music Is Love joins Cowboy Movie; Laughing; Orleans , and more. Guests: Jerry Garcia, Grace Slick, Neil Young, Graham Nash and Joni Mitchell!

Torche- Harmonicraft CD
2012 release, the third studio album from the Stoner Metal band led by Steve Brookes (Floor). Harmonicraft was self-produced by Torche and mixed by Converge guitarist Kurt Ballou.

Bukka White- Mississippi Blues LP
Originally recorded in 1963 for John Fahey's Takoma record label, 'Mississippi Blues' is one of the finest albums Bukka White produced during his later period, after being rediscovered by the folk revival of the early 1960s. A pre-war country-blues artist of the highest order, White, like many of his contemporaries had lived in obscurity for many years, but his great talent remained.

Moody Blues- The Singles + LPx2
UK pressing on 180 gram vinyl. 25 MOODY BLUES' classics spread over this double vinyl set. Includes tracks like "The Story In Your Eyes", "Gemini Dream", "Go Now", "Tuesday Afternoon", "Question", and of course, "Nights In White Satin". Incredibly cheesy cover photo that looks like and old family portrait.

Dirtbombs- Ultraglide in Black LP
Hard drivin' soul inflected garage rock from Mick Collins & the gang.

Dead Kennedys- Fresh Fruit...LP
Back in stock.

Dead Kennedys- Bedtime For Democracy LP
Back in stock.

The Mastersons- Birds Fly South LP
The husband-and-wife duo Chris Masterson and Eleanor Whitmore are definitely up the Brooklyn branch of alt-country, much more like Gram Parsons and Emmylou Harris, say, than George Jones and Tammy Wynette, but the story, love in all its joining and unraveling, is still the same. Yeah, this is a kind of rootsy, Americana album (imagine the Jayhawks with a woman singer who just happens to play a pretty powerful fiddle), but it's one with a subtle big-city twist, and song after song here is about that moment in a relationship when things seem to be breaking down and it's come to the talking part of it. These aren't country songs born of whiskey on a Saturday night in the joint on the corner, these are songs born over coffee the next day at a truck-stop diner on the Interstate in New Jersey. They're talkative country songs, rueful and cautious about love, because love is what it is, and it always requires a dialogue, even if one of the speakers is up and gone and left. This is an interesting album because it talks so much about impasse, which love always seems to face. "Would It Really Be a Sin?" catches the complicated hinges and getaways of a stalled relationship in a pop song, while the regal but sad "Time" talks about, well, time, and how even that can get away in a glance. Then there's the title tune, "Birds Fly South," which sounds a bit like Sparklehorse gone country, and the song's tired, elegant, and almost lurching shuffle rhythm gives it an awkwardly beautiful grace. Some of the songs here blend together in a long discussion of what-are-we-going-to-do-now-with-our-relationship type lyrics, but when everything falls together, as it does with the above songs, the Mastersons deliver a delightfully maverick kind of country love song. This is a fine first album.

Isis- Panopticon LPx2
Reissued on double LP. If the glacial dynamics of previous metal and hardcore abstractions Celestial and Oceanic didn't prove that Isis was a heavy band in every sense, then Panopticon should do the trick. The title comes from 18th century philosopher Jeremy Bentham's prison design, which was later referenced by Michael Foucault in the 20th century. The idea is that a centrally placed guard or watcher can keep track of a large number of prisoners, and it excited Bentham and concerned Foucault. Heavy stuff for a metal band, huh? Both are quoted in the liner notes, bookended by aerial industrial photos laying out society's open sprawl. It fits perfectly with the epic music on the disc itself, which is as angular as post-rock forefathers Slint and as cosmically expansive as Neurosis, yet closer to the intensity of hardcore than either of them.

Madvillain- Madvillainy 2: Remixes LPx2
Madlib has never been one to respect convention. This much we know. After witnessing the epic undertaking of his "album per month" Medicine Show series, we were once again reminded. But back in 2008, he created one of his more respected forms of alleged musical sacrilege. In need of some headphone listening before a ten-hour plane ride to Tokyo, Madlib reworked his classic DOOM collaborative effort Madvillainy in its entirety. Previously available only with Stones Throw’s release of "Madvillainy 2: THE BOX" and a small lot of sought after white label pressings, "Madvillainy 2: The Madlib Remixes" is now being reissued properly on wax. Packaged in a full color jacket of the original CD artwork, the release includes Madlib’s remixes on two pieces of vinyl, comic book insert, and a digital download of the entire album.

V/A- Personal Space: Electronic Soul 1974-1984 LPx2
If the independently-pressed record made the galaxy of recorded music that much larger, the burgeoning home studio became the black hole from which little escaped. Flowering in the mid-to-late 70s, affordable high-quality tape recorders, synthesizers, and simple drum machines permitted the aspiring artist to never leave his home, never request the assistance of another human being. In the world of American Black music, name artists such as Sly Stone, Timmy Thomas, and Shuggie Otis had experimented with rudimentary electronic soul with a modicum of success, but on record what remains is scant. This collection presents the unheard underground of the self-produced, often solo, electronic soul world of the 70s and early 80s, offering a view into an ocean of sound that is in turn peaceful, bizarre, funky, and often humbly ahead of its time. Available as a high quality 180 gram double LP or deluxe bound book CD and features aerial photography by NASA astronaut Donald Pettit.

Lee Hazlewood- The LHI Years LPx2
RECORD STORE DAY release. With his handlebar moustache and booming baritone, Lee Hazlewood was one of the defining stars of the late ‘60s. Though he’s perhaps best known for his work with Nancy Sinatra (including writing mega-hit “These Boots Are Made For Walking”), Hazlewood did stunning work away from that particular glamour queen and found latter day champions in Beck, Sonic Youth, and Jarvis Cocker. Now, for Record Store Day 2012, we are kicking off our excavation of the Lee Hazlewood archives with this anthology, Singles, Nudes & Backsides, collecting the best of Lee’s solo songs and duets from his LHI (Lee Hazlewood Industries) imprint.
As a true legend of the great American songbook and a rebellious pioneer who left behind a lengthy trail of echo laden pop masterpieces, Lee’s influence continues to reverberate today. Between 1968-71, Hazlewood not only released his finest solo work, but produced numerous artists on LHI. From acid-folk and country-rock to pop-psych and soul, LHI issued dozens of long forgotten 45s and LPs. This series will include material from LHI (re-mastered for the first time from the original analog tapes), along with Lee’s output for other labels, rarities, and unreleased gems.

Arthur Russell- The World Of Arthur Russell LPx3
Since the initial groundbreaking release of ‘The World of Arthur Russell’ five years ago, Russell has become the subject of intense media interest. With the recent release of a film about his life (‘A Portrait of Arthur Russell’), as well as a new album of unreleased recordings, (‘Love Is Overtaking Me’), Arthur Russell’s stature as a great artist has grown to is current height. (“One of the great songwriters of the 2oth Century” The Wire).
Arthur Russell holds a unique place in the history of dance music. As an artist he had the admiration of everyone from Philip Glass to Todd Terry. As well as his solo work he also formed the seminal groups Dinosaur L and Loose Joints in the 1980s. With tracks such as "Go Bang" and "Is It All Over My Face?", Russell redefined Dance music in the 1980s as both an intelligent and subversive form.
At the centre of the New York Dance scene in the 1980s, Russell was co-founder of Sleeping Bag Records along with Will Socolov. As well as releasing Russell’s own material, Sleeping Bag would release seminal music from Mantronix, Larry Levan, Patrick Adams, EPMD, Joyce Sims and Todd Terry amongst others. As a regular visitor at David Mancuso’s " Loft", and Nicky Siano’s "Gallery" nightclubs and even Studio 54, Russell immersed himself in the New York Dance scene whilst continuing to create avant-garde experimental music. These two elements in his life and music make him truly unique.
Larry Levan, Walter Gibbons and Francois Kervorkian all played pivotal roles as remixers of Russell’s work and feature on many of the tracks featured here. Arthur Russell died in 1992 from AIDS leaving behind an enormous body of work. This release features both the classic tracks of Arthur Russell such as "Go Bang", "Is It All Over My Face", "Wax The Van" etc alongside impossible-to-find collectors tracks such as " In The Light Of The Miracle" and the private-pressing only "Pop Your Funk". This is the first collected work of Arthur Russell who has been for many years one of the most respected iconic artists in the history of dance music.
