This Weeks Stock! |
|
Monday, September 11 2006 @ 11:28 AM CST Contributed by: Dave
Amazingly back on schedule this week. Welcome to all the new subscribers to the weekly email. Please feel free to get back to me with "any" ?????'s you may have regarding this list or other queries regarding the shop. Construction goes on here at X-Ray central as we ready for the forthcoming expansion of the store. My guesstimate for completion is 3-5 weeks, we'll see how close I am. As usual, it's an interesting week for new stock, with new releases from TV On The Radio, Dead Moon (a new 2xcd compilation on Sub Pop), Kamelot, Richard Buckner, Gwar, Mastadon & Tony Joe White, to name a few. A reminder that special orders are more than welcome and actually are a big part of my business so please speak up if you're looking for something that's not in stock. Turnaround time for special orders is usually 2-4 weeks (with some items coming as soon as one week). The Legendary Shack Shakers will be playing @ the Exchange on friday Sept. 22nd and are simply not to be missed. It's a wild mix of rockabilly/roadhouse r'n'r/crazy klezmer polka (weird). Their last cd "Pandelerium" had cameos from Jello Biafra & the Reverend Horton Heat.

This Weeks New Stock! |
|
Monday, August 14 2006 @ 12:42 PM CST Contributed by: Dave
Here we go all over again. My head is still reeling from the action packed weekend where I saw not only Steve Earle (Folk Fest- Fantastic), but Ricky Bobby in "Talladega Nights" (a complete pants wetter). I'm over stimulated. Stock wise this week we see some new releases from Supersystem, Golden Smog, The Sadies & The Groovie Ghoulies, and new DVD arrivals like Killwhitneydead, The Meteors, the brand new "Burn To Shine" installment. There's also some new T's & Hooded Sweatshirts from Black Flag, Avenged Sevenfold, Bleeding Through, Sigur Ros & a couple of really funny Willie Nelson T-Shirts. Hope all is well with everyone & I look forward to your next visit. Previous lists can be found in the Music Archives section.

This Weeks New Stock! |
|
Monday, July 31 2006 @ 03:03 PM CST Contributed by: Dave
As the city is caught in the grips of "Stones" fever, you'll notice my flagrant & cheesy attempt to cash in by hawking some of their product right up front. No doubt in the upcoming months I'll have other choice merchandise to dangle in front of you. As well there's plenty-o new releases from folks like Kool Keith, The Keene Brothers (Robert Pollard of GBV), The Black Angels, Joan Of Arc & Helmet, Also plenty of restocks and reissues from Robert Fripp, Cro Mags, The Cure & The Young Canadians. DVD's from Siouxsie & The Banshees, No Means No/Hanson Brothers & The Refused and some tasty heavyweight vinyl re-issues from Jimi Hendrix, The Who & Led Zeppelin. Tickets still on sale @ WOT for the upcoming Wolf Parade show at the Exchange. The Folk Festival approaches and there's plenty happening all over town at great clubs like The Distrikt & O'Hanlon's Irish Pub. Please go to the website www.xrayrecords.ca for listings and gossip. Cheers!
