Dead Bob is the solo project of John Wright - legendary drummer of the now-retired punk rock powerhouse NoMeansNo. In this new incarnation, Wright is joined by Colin MacRae, Byron Slack, Ford Pier, and Kristy Lee Audette, reimagining two incredible covers to mark his reunion with the label that helped launch his legacy. "Some Bodies" was originally a NoMeansNo song from their 1985 release "You Kill Me". This new version starts with rich vocal harmonies in the call back to the original a cappella intro and builds into an explosive reworking of the classic - with Audette's powerful vocals along with bold horn arrangements driving it into new territory. The song loses none of its original intensity, instead gaining new layers and depth. On the flip side, "We Are The Humans" is a complete reimagining of Kraftwerk's "We Are The Robots". In the age of AI, the track feels more relevant than ever with the new title and chant.
